Riot police are dismantling tents and arresting activists who stayed overnight on Cairo's Tahrir Square. This follows an earlier mass protest against military rulers who have been in control since President Mubarak was toppled in February. They were demanding the withdrawal of a proposal that declares the military the guardian of 'constitutional legitimacy'. The protest was arranged by the islamist Muslim Brotherhood, and supported by some secular activists.
